The Lord will keep you from all harm -- he will watch over your life the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121:7-8 NIV
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
Our lives are not lived alone. The Lord is with us personally. He holds each of our futures and our safety in his hands. We live to serve him and go to be with him when we die. The Lord will keep us from all harm!
MY PRAYER...
Mighty Protector Rock of my salvation. Thank you that my future is secure with you. Make this assurance the convicting power in my life to turn over my future and my life to you. Through Jesus I ask this. Amen.

Fathers do not exasperate your children instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4 NIV
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
Mothers have such an inside road with children that it is interesting that God commands fathers to be about the work of spiritual nurture. I don't believe he means to exclude mothers. No I think he assumes they'll do their part. But the father's influence and intentional training is so essential.
MY PRAYER...
Abba Father may my children come to find you in me. Through Jesus I pray. Amen

As a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. Psalm 103:13NIV
THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
Compassion. Not pity not anger not shame not impatience not intolerance not rejection but compassion is what God my Father gives to me. He cares for my pain enough to enter into my world and share it in Jesus.
MY PRAYER...
Father of Mercies and God of all Compassion thank you for not only knowing and caring about my struggles and problems but sending me help in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. By one I know your love and mercy and by the other I know your might and power. May your Spirit of compassion be found in my relationships. Through the grace of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Father's Day
What Makes a DadGod took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,And so, He called it
... Dad

Think about this one
"No one is like the Lord our God, who rules from heaven." Psalm 113:5
On a trip to the United Kingdom, our family visited a castle. In the center of the garden sat a maze. Row after row of shoulder-high hedges, leading to one dead end after another. Successfully navigate the labyrinth, and discover the door to a tall tower in the center of the garden. Were you to look at our family pictures of the trip, you'd see four of our five family members standing on the top of the tower. Hmmm, someone is still on the ground. Guess who? I was stuck in the foliage. I just couldn't figure out which way to go.
Ah, but then I heard a voice from above. "Hey, Dad." I looked up to see Sara, peering through the turret at the top. "you're going the wrong way," she explained. "Back up and turn right."
Do you think I trusted her? I didn't have to. But do you know what I did? I listened. Her vantage point was better than mine. She was above the maze. She could see what I couldn't.
Don't you think we should do the same with God?
